Weezer in Indianapolis

Matt and I were so excited when we found out that Weezer was going to play a free concert as part of the NCAA final four festivities in Indianapolis!

Weezer did not disappoint. For a band with such star power I was so happy to see them playing frisbee on stage during set up and actually enjoying themselves during the performance. I was amazed at Rivers' (lead singer) vocal technique. You know you're a voice teacher when- the fact that he didn't over sing and he stayed hydrated throughout the performance- impresses you.

The weather was terrible at first but in true Indiana fashion it ended with sun. Indiana natives say, "if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes.".

I am not a soda fan but coke was giving away soda and merchandice. I am a sucker for free stuff. The billboard actually dispensed coke zero!

Behind the billboard (in my photo) you can see the free Ferris wheel that capital One set up. This concert was an advertising frenzy and I ate up. They also had free ping pong, connect four and corn-hole ( you might call it bag throw). I was surprised that this free concert was so family friendly. What a treat!
